METRIC 8.0 -
The easy-handling, powerful software for documentation and measuring within the image
Metric is a software for manual measuring of live pictures and freeze images. Distances, areas, diametres, counting tasks and likening tests via overlaying several masks (adjustable marker, circles, squares, gridlocks, tolerance rings) and the possibility to oyerlay a saved image on the live-picture, in order to detect differences.
|
Very easily distances and lenths with dimensioning, areas, angles, radiuses and the amount of objects can be determined. Furthermore cross-hair, gridlock, scale, tolerance rings, notes and markers can be diplayed.
The colour objects and stroke width of the scale are manifoldly variable. With a suitable frame-grabber all measuring functions can take place in the video-live-picture, otherwise the image files, which are to be measured, were imported to METRIC (JPG. BMP, DIB, PCX, TIF, DXF). The characteristics of all objects displayed on the videoimage, can be saved in a chart. The measuring and labelling of an image can be saved and contiued later on. Furthermore, in the same (even comprehensive) way reference masters can be generated, which later can be loaded and compared with other test pieces. |

Available hardware (neccessary for software-operation) choose from the following options (extra-charged):
- Framegrabber PCI for PC (Live-picture)
EUR 415,-
- Framegrabber PCMCIA for laptop (Live-picture)
EUR 990,-
- Farbkamera USB2.0 (Live-picture)
EUR 1370,-
- USB-Dongle M1 (offline-picture or import via TWAIN-Schnittstelle)
EUR 130,-
Applications:
- quality assurance in general
- microscopic documentation; digital microscope images with measurements and notes, size controls of any kind, control of angles
- comparative tests (saved master vs. test piece)
- SPC with data transfer to Excel
- wafer industry:
- layer thickness measuring, interaktive (succession for simple video measuring systems) - measuring of drill holes in wafers - length measurement (incremental measure) - inspection tasks in combination
- biology
- cell-counting, tissue production
- printing industy
- angle measuring within textiles - dimension accuracy, to print grids
- - registration marks to establish printing systems in general
- -quality assurance (marking of good and bad units)
Metric is able to read and write many image files (bmp, wmf, gif, jpg, tif, png, dxf and others). The man features of Metric are the easy handling and the possibylity to measure live-pictures and overly them with images. Being a OEM-Modul Metric is applicable for mechanical engineering. Further functions were short-term programmed and accomplish the machine by contact-free adjustment assistance. At present Metric is available in: (German, English, French, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese). Metric PE Plus comprises further measuring functions, AVI-recording, a timermodule and the administrator function for the whole programme.
Inserts in the videopicture: Texts: Texts at any point of the picture to label details, additionally taggings with circles and arrows are possible.
Cross hairs : two right angled crossing lines, each paralleling one of the edges (fixed to the centre or with relocateable axes (also double cross hairs)
Gridlock: freely adjustable horizontal and vertical distances of lines
Tolerance ring: via input of target, minimal and maximal diametre to check circular objects, free positioning or fixed to the image centre
Calibration measurement: free positioning, according to validated calibration (optionally vertically or horizontally displayable)
Measuring function: Calibration: Scale adjustment for 15 different magnifications (objectives and objetive-settings are saveable).
Lenth and distance measuring between:
- two points (point-to-point) - a point and a line (point to line) - two cirlce-centres (circle to circle)
- a centre of circle to a line (circle to line)
angle measurement: - angle-3-point (the two arms of the angle are defined by three points)
- angle-4-point (each arm of the angle is defined by a line, whereas the (also theoretical) crossing point - if neccessary - is automatically produced
area measuring: - area of circle or polygon with max. 100 points
radius of circle: - the radius is defined by three points on the circumcircle, calculation of centre and radius
manual counting of objects: marking of objects via mouse click, total amount of marked objects is counted in the status line.
applications:
- accuracy to size
- determination of diameters of objects
- area determination of any picture field
- angle measuring of units
- cell-counting and marking
- labelling for failiure documentation
