  • two-dimensional length measuring, contact-free and without measuring force
  • accurate measuring due to the option of switching between stereo and vertical optical path (Mono)
  • high allowed stage load and free long working distance
  • surface characterization with brilliant images and magnification up to 200x
  • camera-connection for image processing and documentation
  • ergonomic components such as Ergowedge and Ergotube

The microscope is equipped with a special device for measuring within the camera image.
The photo at the right side shows the default position for the three-dimensional view through the ocular.

This image shows the position, which is opimized for the camera insight. To enable the observer's three-dimensional impression of the image,  normally the two optical paths would meet the objetc angular. Now, in order to avoid measuring failures, the specimen stage is shifted and only one optical path meets the object orthogonally.

Almost the whole Leica construction kit is available.

MS5 with 5 discrete steps of magnification:

6,3x, 10x, 16x, 25x und 40x
e.g. with ocular 10x and objektive 1x, free working distance 89mm

MZ16 with 16:1 zoom and a range of magnification of typically  7.1x up to 115x while using an ocular 10x and an objective 1x

What you can expect of measuring equipment:
High-performance optical system - the stereo microscopes from Leica feature:
  • Brilliant three-dimensional images
  • Perfect imaging properties - good usability - a variety of measurement options is thus available to you
  • large, flat and sharp to the edge of visual fields images for fatigue-free long-term work
  • Constant focus from overview to detail

The stereo microscopes Leica MS5, MZ6, MZ7.5, MZ9.5, MZ12.5 and MZ16 are parfocally matched, i.e. the image stays sharp while changing magnifications.

Wide range of accessories

The modular design has the advantage that you put your equipment together to suit your requirements. You can also add specific components.

Ergonomics

As a user of the stereo microscope series Leica MS5, MZ6, MZ7.5, MZ9.5,  MZ12.5, and MZ16
the largest range of ergonomics is available to you. Individual circumstances, such as different heigth and equipment levels are no problem for you.

Distortion free wide-angle oculars for wearer of glasses allow for observation with or without glasses.

The ErgoTubus enables tilting of the tube at 10° -50°. Thus the user can change his body posture anytime and adapt the inside heigth.  The rigid body posture constraint will be replaced by dynamic, less stressful sitting. The long tubes allow for upright body posture and therefore supply you with even more convenience.

The ErgoTubus 10° -50° is made of antistatic material.

Measuring stages
The high-precision measuring stages are, besides the optics, the heart of the microscope. They are controlled by a ball bearing and have a sophisticated mechanism for the ergonomic quick and fine adjustment.

The scanning is carried out by an opto-electronic measuring system with incrementally split precision scales.

The measurement inaccuracy for one coordinate direction is less than 3 + L /100 L µm (L in mm)
