Here you will find the the perfect camera for each and every task. We distinguish between: Consumer Digital Cameras: (e.g.. Canon Ixus Series or Nikon P5100) These cameras have their own optics and therefore need to be adapted to the microscopes. Please note: Not all consumer cameras are able to be adapted to a microscope. That is why we only offer cameras, which have been tested with microscopes and which are fittet to our adapters. The advantages of these cameras are the reasonable price combined with a very high number of pixels ( i.e. high quality) and the possibilty to use the camera independly without a microscope. Disadvantages are usually the relatively complex adaptation to the microscope, the complicated handling, no measurement options and a software, which was originally not designed for microscope users.
C-Mount USB/Firewire Cameras (e.g. Leica DFC or uEye LE/SE) These cameras are only for the use with microscopes and are not able to function without a micrsocope. Various resolutions and many different sensor variations guarantee, that there is the right camera for every purpose. Advantages of these cameras are the ideal adaptation to the microscopes, the easy handling and the possibility to use a variety of software for measurement and analyzing of pictures. Cameras with CMOS sensor are mainly used for routine tasks. In contrast to that, the little more expensive CCD models are used for tasks, which require a dynamic range and/or a very good pixel uniformity. They also work really well in so-called "Low light" tasks. If you can't find the right camera for your task, we would kindly ask you to forward your request and a short description of the desired camera and your task. Our team will be glad to provide you with an offer. |
